This 150 mm diameter sphere, made of mouth-blown borosilicate glass and decorated entirely by hand in our Bellagio workshop, depicts a winter landscape immersed in a bright, deep night.
The front depicts a small snowy village, with blue houses and bright yellow windows that illuminate the surrounding snow. The white roofs blend into the icy landscape, while the green trees, painted in cool tones with touches of white, create a chromatic balance between warm and cold. The snow is rendered in shades of white, ivory, and silver, enriched with fine glitter that catches the light.
The night sky takes center stage: it fades from deep purple to golden yellow, creating a suspended atmosphere reminiscent of winter auroras. Small, hand-applied points of light evoke a brilliant, intense firmament. The golden moon completes the picture with a soft, enveloping glow.
The sides and back are painted in a glossy midnight blue, which enhances the main scene and gives depth to the composition. The landscape continues on both sides, with snow-covered fir trees, fences, and expanses of snow gradually fading into the dark background.
The top cap, finished in hand-applied gold, recalls the artisan tradition of our laboratory.
Each sphere is unique, produced without molds and characterized by subtle variations that reveal its entirely handmade nature.
